While driving on a road with two lanes in your direction of driving:

  1. You are always permitted to drive on the left lane only.
  2. You are obliged to drive in the right lane, unless you are overtaking or turning left.
  3. You are permitted to drive on the right or left lane, according to the type of the vehicle.
  4. You may drive on either lane, as long as you don’t cause any risk to traffic.
